Hello guys! Oggi vi parlo di un ristorante/pub niente male il cui proprietario non è altro che il famoso chef Gordon Ramsay.
E' stata un'esperienza molto piacevole la cena in questo gastropub che si chiama "The Narrow" e si trova a Limehouse, un quartiere di Londra caratterizzato dalla presenza del Dock e degli ex magazzini portuali trasformati in moderne abitazioni.
L'interno del locale si presenta cosy, ovvero confortevole e caldo. Bella la zona vicino al bancone con divanetti, poltrone e un piccolo camino scoppiettante.
Fuori c'è una sorta di terrazza che si affaccia sul Tamigi e deve essere davvero carino d'estate sostare qui, perché l'area è attrezzata con poltrone in vimini e tavolini.
Il mio tavolo si trovava all'interno nella veranda e la vista era magica grazie alle luci del Canary Wharf da un lato e, dalla parte opposta in lontananza, il grattacielo Shard.
Da mangiare ho ordinato un antipasto al salmone e poi una fish pie, formaggiosa e ricca di pesce fresco. Per dessert un cioccolatosissimo brownie con gelato alla vaniglia. Tutto squisito.
Il menù è quello con i piatti rustici della tradizione inglese, come giusto che sia per un pub, ma le portate qui sono presentate con gusto e tutto è cucinato a puntino. Il servizio è stato celere e il personale affabile.
Credo che questo sia il genere di pub che preferisco: tranquillo, con una bella atmosfera, e situato in un posto speciale, lontano dai soliti luoghi turistici sempre affollati. Tornerò sicuramente per provare il Sunday roast che, come sapete, è una delle mie passioni culinarie.

Hello guys! Today I'm talking about a restaurant / pub very good, the owner is the famous chef Gordon Ramsay.
It 'was a very pleasant dinner in this gastropub.
The environment is cozy. Thel area near the bar with sofas, armchairs and a small fireplace crackling is truly beautiful.
Outside there is a sort of terrace overlooking the River Thames and it has to be really nice in the summer, because the place is equipped with wicker armchairs and tables.
My table was inside in the veranda and the view was magical thanks to the lights of Canary Wharf on one side and, on the opposite side in the distance, the Shard skyscraper.
As appetizer I ordered the salmon with vegetables and like main dish a fish pie, cheesy and full of fresh fish. For dessert a delicious brownie with vanilla ice cream. All good.
The menu is rustic with traditional English dishes, as it should be for a pub, but the dishes here are tastefully presented and everything is cooked to perfection. The service was quick and the staff friendly.
I think this is the kind of pub that I prefer: quiet, with a nice atmosphere and located in a special place, away from the usual tourist spots always crowded. I'll definitely have to try the Sunday roast which, as you know, is one of my culinary passions.
